Design overview

Diagram

Panel angle

80 deg angle

Liability issues to be considered

Pouring a concrete base for panel mounting

This system will maximize solar abilities in the winter and minimize the heat in the summer

Also in the summer the panels will be covered easily to shut down the entire system

The glycol solution cannot undergo too high of a heat or else the solution will separate and need to be evacuated and replaced

Pump station overview

Piping

Copper

More malleable

Cheaper than steel

More difficult to fit

Stainless Steel

50% more expensive than copper

Fittings

Radiators

Research options

Base board heaters

$4/ft Cheap but flimsy and Fragile

"Maxi"

Compact

Sturdy

Expensive!

Pumps

From thermal storage tank to the radiators

Controlled by the digital control system
